Return the
forest to
the trees

We prune for strength and health, catch problems while they can still be treated, and take a tree down only when it truly has to go. When it does, we do it carefully.

What we do

Care for every stage of a tree's life

Most of our work keeps trees healthy and standing. Every job starts with a look at the whole tree and a written plan, so you know what we'll do and why.

Pruning

Good pruning makes a tree stronger. We remove dead and crossing limbs, thin crowded canopies to let light and wind through, and shape young trees so they grow a sound structure. Every cut is made at the branch collar so the tree can seal it. We never top trees.

  • Structural pruning
  • Weight reduction
  • Internal pruning

Tree health care

Thinning leaves, early color, bark damage, mushrooms at the base: trees show stress long before they fail. We find the cause, whether it's pests, disease, compacted soil or root trouble, and put together a treatment plan to bring the tree back.

  • Health assessments
  • Pest & disease treatment
  • Soil & root care

Cabling & support

A split trunk or a heavy limb over the house doesn't always mean the tree has to go. Cables and braces support weak spots so a valuable tree can stay safely in place for years.

  • Cabling & bracing
  • Weak union support
  • Annual inspections

Specialized removals

When a tree is dead, dangerous or beyond saving, we take it down piece by piece with ropes and rigging, lowering each section under control. Over roofs, next to lines, between houses: nothing gets dropped on what you care about, including the trees that stay.

  • Technical rigging
  • Tight & sensitive sites
  • Hazard trees

Stumps & cleanup

Stump grinding below grade so you can replant, and storm cleanup when weather does the damage. We leave the yard raked and the chips as mulch if you want them.

  • Stump grinding
  • Storm response
  • Wood chip mulch

About us

Forty years caring for Nashville's trees

Odd Brothers Tree Care is a local, family-owned business with more than 40 years of combined experience maintaining trees across Nashville, Tennessee. We've spent decades in the oaks, maples, hackberries and tulip poplars that shade this city's neighborhoods, and we've watched those neighborhoods grow up around them.

As Nashville keeps expanding, its trees have to share space with new homes, roads, power lines and construction. Our mission is to do everything we can to help them live alongside all of it. We do that through expert pruning that builds strong, balanced structure and keeps limbs clear of what's around them, and through health care treatments that catch pests, disease and stress early, while a tree can still be saved.

Safety is part of every decision we make. Each job is planned before a saw starts: how every limb will come down, where it will be lowered, and how your home, your family and our crew stay out of harm's way. We carry general liability insurance and are fully licensed to operate. Proof of insurance upon request.
